- Push notifications are delivered via Expo Push Service

Important: PairCare is not a HIPAA-covered service and does not process protected health information (PHI). While we collect some health-related reminder data, it is user-generated and not considered medical records.

7. Partner Sharing
If you connect with a partner:
- Your partner may view your shared calendar events and to-do items
- Only information you explicitly add to shared features is visible to your partner
- You can disconnect at any time from Settings
- Disconnecting will remove your partner's access to your shared data

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Delete your account at any time
- Opt out of push notifications
- Disconnect from your partner at any time
- Export your data (contact us for assistance)
If you are located in the EU, EEA, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, you also have the right to withdraw consent, request data portability, and lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.
9. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data retained while the account remains active
- Deleted accounts: All associated data permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backup data: May be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery
- Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law
10. Children's Privacy
PairCare is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
11. International Users
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located in the United States or other regions where our service providers operate. By using PairCare, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your data, and the right to opt-out of data sales (note: we do not sell personal data).
